Big Money Looks at Wind Power

[Cape Cod Online] There was little talk of potential bird deaths, threats to fishing grounds or aesthetic gripes. The wind farm talk here — just a few blocks from Wall Street — was far more focused on money. More than 200 developers, investors, lawyers and industry leaders from around the world met in Manhattan’s financial district yesterday to open a two-day workshop on financing wind power. The event, hosted by the American Wind Energy Association, featured a wide-ranging program designed to educate investors about the risks and rewards of the emerging wind power industry.
