Barrow Could be Ideal Site for Wind Turbine Manufacturing

2002-03-06 [] Barrow, England could be an ideal site for the United Kingdom’s first manufacturing site of wind turbines according to a consultant for two wind energy companies. Ninety turbines, currently imported from Denmark and Germany, are planned for the shallow seas off the coast of Walney in 2004 and the seas off Barrow have been identified as prime location for hundreds more.
