[Wall Street Journal] Two years ago, after Stan Gelber had retired and started an Internet company out of his home in Santa Cruz, Calif., he took a good, long look at his $3,000-a-year utility bill and decided to make a change.  “My electric bill was skyrocketing,” he says. “I really needed to get a handle on what was going out, versus what was coming in.”
