2 MW D8.2 Wind Turbine in Germany Online

Irvine, California [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Composite Technology Corporation (CTC) announced — through its subsidiary DeWind Limited — that the high-performance two-megawatt (2 MW) DeWind D8.2 wind turbine installed at the DEWI-Offshore and Certification Centre GmbH (DEWI-OCC) test site in Cuxhaven, Germany, is now fully operational and producing electricity. Wind turbines undergo a certification process to conform to internationally recognized standards set by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). DEWI-OCC provides type approval and certification services to IEC standards for manufacturers of wind turbines.
