Virginia Energy Fair Spotlights Savings

August 18, 2003 [] The Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), in partnership with several other state agencies and organizations interested in energy issues, is sponsoring the Virginia Energy Fair on October 10 – 11 at the Science Museum of Virginia. The Fair’s theme is “Saving Money, Saving Energy, Saving the Environment.” The Fair offers an opportunity to provide consumer education about how to save on home heating, cooling, and utility costs and to promote the role and importance of the use of environmentally friendly products and techniques. The Fair will give greater visibility to energy and environmental issues and will provide an opportunity to showcase accomplishments in these areas. Exhibitors, made up of energy, environmental, and housing professionals, will demonstrate the latest energy conservation technologies for the home through interactive displays and specially planned how-to workshops. Admission is free of charge and open to the general public.
