Two Fuel Cells Cars for $88 Million

[] In a move that shows continued interest in fuel cell vehicles from the U.S. government and the corporate world, but also shows the unrelenting high costs of fuel cell vehicles, two fuel cell vehicles were delivered by DaimlerChrysler in a contract worth USD$ 88 million dollars. The company is delivering the two vehicles to the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (Air District). The government agency will use the DaimlerChrysler F-Cells in daily use. These are some of the first fuel cell vehicles delivered since the official kickoff of the Department of Energy (DOE) Hydrogen Learning Demonstration Project.
