SolarBee – Solar Aeration Unit

The SolarBee’s solar-powered mixing action can clean up freshwater lakes and ponds, potable water tanks and reservoirs, and wastewater by circulating the water, which prevents growth of toxic algae infestations and milfoil caused by fertilizer runoff.

The aeration caused by the floating unit accelerates the biological and chemical processes that neutralize the pollutants without using harsh chemicals that kill fish. The SolarBee can draw up to 10,000 gallons per minute from below the unit and spread it across the top of the reservoir in a near-laminar-flow manner for long-distance coverage and continuous surface renewal. For 24-hour operation in low sunlight conditions, battery storage and shore power kits are available.
