RWE Schott Solar Expands in Australia

[] RWE Schott Solar GmbH, the German manufacturer of solar power products, is continuing to expand its international activities. In January 2005 collaboration began with two Australian companies – Going Solar and Sustainable Energy Enterprises. Founded in 1978, Melbourne-based Going Solar is a leading supplier of sustainable technologies in the State of Victoria. The company offers a range of managerial services, energy consulting and distribution of efficient energy solutions. Sustainable Energy Enterprises Pty Ltd, already has more than 25 years’ experience in the planning, manufacture and installation of renewable energy systems. Based in Adelaide, the company is ISO 9001 certified and will supply South Australia and the Northern Territory as a RWE Schott Solar licensed dealer. The market for PV in Australia will amount to around 7 MW in 2005, most of which will be off-grid installations for both industrial and private energy consumption in remote areas far from any electricity supply. Apart from that, use of grid-connected solar power is on the increase in Australia.
