A U.S. publishing company has launched a resource centre on its internet site to provide free access to business information on clean technology and resources.

The site for Clean Edge Inc. of California will include a clean-tech directory with descriptions and links for associations, government programs and research labs, company listings, a bookstore for clean-tech business titles, and an events calendar with links to conferences and workshops. “Until now, there has been no single source for clean-tech investors and innovators to get information about the latest developments in clean technology,” says co-founder Ron Pernick. “Our Web site, publications and consulting services are geared toward companies and individuals that are at the forefront of the emerging clean-tech economy.” Clean Edge offers other web-based resources including stock tracking of AstroPower, Ballard Power, Capstone Turbine, Energy Conversion Devices, Evergreen Solar, FuelCell Energy, Plug Power, and Proton Energy. The company defines clean technology as products and services that harness renewable energy and materials, reduce the use of resources, and limit emissions and wastes. It includes fuel cells, solar power, wind power, hybrid electric vehicles, and bio-based materials.
