Request for 150,000 MWh of renewable energy has been issued by Alliant

2002-02-07 [SolarAccess.com] A request for up to 150,000 megawatt hours of renewable energy for Iowa has been issued by Alliant Energy on behalf of its utility subsidiaries as the second part of its ‘Power Iowa’ plan for green energy supply. Alliant’s RFP is open to any form of renewable energy and it wants at least 100,000 MWh of new capacity by the end of 2003 following the first RFP to add new natural gas and coal generation.
