REpower Third in Wind Turbine Output in Germany in 2006

Hamburg, Germany [] In 2006, REpower Systems AG advanced to third place in the ranking of the largest manufacturers of wind turbines in Germany. With a market share of 7.6 percent for the newly installed output of 2,233 megawatts (MW) last year (previous year: 1,808 MW), REpower established itself behind Enercon and Vestas. Today the installation figures for 2006 were presented at the BWE (German Wind Energy Association) and VDMA (German Association of Machine and Plant Manufacturers) press conference in Berlin.
