NY Meetings Seek Public Input on Hydrogen

[RenewableEnergyAccess.com] As part of a state-wide effort to transition to a sustainable energy future and improve the environment by increasing the use of hydrogen and hydrogen- related products across the State, New York State is inviting public comment on the state’s Vision for a Hydrogen Economy through a series of public meetings to be held from February 1-8, 2005 in Albany, Rochester, Syracuse and New York City. Sponsored by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), the New York Power Authority (NYPA) and the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA), the program’s goal is to make hydrogen energy part of the every day lives of New Yorkers by educating the public, adopting model codes and standards, and identifying an appropriate mix of market incentives and public policies to remove the barriers facing hydrogen energy technologies. This project is organized by Energetics Incorporated, Albany NanoTech’s Energy and Environmental Technology Application Center (E2TAC), and the National Hydrogen Association.
