Norway Committed to 15% Renewables by 2010

August 28, 2002 [] Prime Minister of Norway, Kjell Magne Bondevik, said the government is committed to helping derive at least 15 percent of the world’s energy from renewable sources by 2010. Speaking at the start of an offshore oil conference here, Bondevik said the commitment should be backed by a reduction in consumption of fossil fuels as well encouraging the “profitable” development of Renewable Energy.
