New Name, Same Research Institute

April 7, 2003 [] The Energy and Resources Institute has officially changed their name to its acronym TERI. The new name marks a new phase in the life of the institute, but also reaffirms the traditions, values, and work culture established over the years since TERI was founded in 1974 and began its own research activities at the end of 1982. TERI is an independent, not-for-profit institute engaged in research, training, information dissemination, and other activities focused on all forms of natural and human resources, with, of course, a special interest in sustainable energy and the environment.
