Neah Power Systems Gets Added Funding for Fuel Cell Research

2002-02-22 [] Neah Power Systems of Bothell, Washington has received more than US$5 million in second round funding from Seattle venture-capital company Frazier Technology Ventures and Alta Partners of San Francisco, California. Neah Power is developing a battery-sized “direct methanol” fuel cell in hopes of replacing lithium ion batteries in portable electronic devices such as laptops, mobile phones and personal digital assistants.
