Milwaukee Businesses Go Green

May 15, 2003 [] At the Green Power Workshop in Milwaukee, many leading businesses and other institutions throughout the state of Wisconsin received awards for their commitment to the environment through the purchase of large amounts of Renewable Energy. The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh announced it has become the largest green power purchaser in the state. Outpost Natural Foods, Alterra Coffee Roasters, and Schlitz Audubon Nature Center also announced large purchases and several business in Wisconsin joined the US EPA Green Power Partnership. The conference was the first-of-its-kind statewide gathering of experts in the green power industry and businesses and media seeking expertise in Renewable Energy.
