Midnite Solar: E-Panel

Robin Gudgel, originally affiliated with OutBack Power Systems, is assembling a team of engineers to develop Midnite Solar’s first product offering, a BOS panel that fills an industry void. With the E-Panel, inverter installation has been reduced to minutes.

The E-Panel is a flexible, small, cost-effective approach to address the issues associated with installing a code-compliant battery-based inverter system. The E-Panel comes factory wired with internal inverter cables and AC wiring. The extremely compact design is possible due to a unique hinged door to which the inverter attaches. The E-Panel is Standard Features: * Battery breaker, 125A or 175A * AC 50A bypass switch ( 30A for 240VAC version ) * AC 50A input disconnect ( 30A for 240VAC version ) * Din Rail Mounts for up to 6 OBAC or OBPV breakers. 60A OBPV breakers available ( 1/2 ” & 3/4 ” knockouts ) * AC input and output blocks * Plastic watertight conduit for AC wiring to inverter * Chassis ground bus bar * 500A 50mv shunt for battery status monitoring * Mounting bracket for MX60 , knockouts accommodate Xantrex and Morningstar controllers * Knockout for American GFCI outlet * Standard right hand hinge stacks vertically. Mirror image left hand hinge unit ( pictured ) allows horizontal stacking. Charge controllers mount between horizontal stacked units. Wiring passes through controllers for clean installation. * Standard unit is light gray powder coating on steel. White powder coated aluminum versions available for salt air climates.
