Meadowlands Vows to Stay Green

Trenton, New Jersey [Herald News] The New Jersey Meadowlands Commission announced Monday that it will adhere to the Kyoto Protocol, reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the Meadowlands District to 7 percent below 1990 levels by 2012. “By supporting the Kyoto Protocol, we are holding ourselves to an international standard of environmental protection,” said Susan Bass Levin, chairwoman of the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission and New Jersey Department of Community Affairs commissioner, in a press release.
