John Deer Explores Fuel Cells

June 11, 2003 [SolarAccess.com] Hydrogenics Corporation has sold six of its 10-kW fuel cell power modules — the HyPM-LP2 — to Deere & Co. for integration and evaluation in off-road vehicle applications including grounds equipment and utility vehicles. Hydrogenics also said that Natural Resources Canada is providing US$500,000 to fund reliability testing and further development of the HyPM-LP2 over the next two years. The fuel cell power module is a direct adaptation of Hydrogenics’ 20kW HyPM-LP2 module.
