IREC Launches On-line Renewable Energy Course Catalog

[RenewableEnergyAccess.com] The Interstate Renewable Energy Council unveiled an on-Line course catalog for renewable energy. Students interested in finding out where training and education courses are offered can do so with this on-line database. Courses can be sorted by state and/or technology. The catalog currently lists over 130 courses offered by 24 organizations. Each listing briefly describes the course and the provider. A direct link to the provider’s web site can give the user more detailed information about the course or program. Training providers have the ability to create, edit, or delete their listing after their initial entry is verified. IREQ expects the database to grow substantially. IREC encourages providers who are not yet listed to submit information and suggests that prospective students regularly scan the database for these new entries. The project is coordinated by the Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) along with the Partnership for Environmental Technology Education (PETE) and Lane Community College. RenewableEnergyAccess.com’s online Events section also highlights many renewable energy courses. For IREC see the first link, for RenewableEnergyAccess.com’s see the second link.
