Iowa Utility Offers Green Power Program

January 30, 2004 [] Beginning this year, Iowa’s Muscatine Power & Water (MP&W) will be offering its residential customers the opportunity to participate in the development of renewable energy in Muscatine. Customer contributions to “Solar Muscatine” will help fund the acquisition and installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) arrays that will provide a safe, environmentally friendly, supplemental source of energy for the community. For as little as $3, $5, or $7 per month, customers will be able to cast their “dollar vote” for renewable energy and help support a brighter, cleaner future for Muscatine.
