July 28, 2004 [SolarAccess.com] The Investors’ Circle National Conference and Venture Fair is the meeting place for angel investors, professional venture capitalists, philanthropic investors and entrepreneurs who are using private capital to promote the transition to a sustainable future. This year’s event, supported by the Massachusetts Renewable Energy Trust and the W. K. Kellogg Foundation, will focus on two fields: renewable energy and food/organics. The event takes place at the Charles Hotel in Cambridge, Massachusetts from October 24-26, 2004. The venture fair (10/25) will feature presentations from up to 30 companies that are working to solve major social and environmental problems. The evening program for Monday, 10/25, will include a live radio show, etown, at the Sanders Theatre at Harvard. On Tuesday (10/26), IC will host speakers and workshops on state of “double bottom line” investing and enterprise creation in these two focus sectors as well as a plenary session on The Limits to Growth. The application deadline for companies wishing to present their investment opportunity at this event is August 2nd. Investors’ Circle works with companies from the following sectors: energy/environment, food/organics, community development, education/media, and health/wellness.
