Hydrogen Fuel Cell Cars Demonstrated in Italy

October 29, 2003 [SolarAccess.com] Nuvera Fuel Cells, a designer and developer of fuel cell power systems, has integrated its automotive fuel cell stack technology into two vehicles by Centro Ricerche Fiat that were demonstrated by Fiat Auto during a presentation of fuel cell vehicle prototypes in Milan Italy. The cars included a prototype of the FIAT Seicento, which employs a 40-kW Nuvera fuel cell stack, as well as a prototype of Fiat’s next-generation fuel cell vehicle, the Panda Hydrogen, which featured a Nuvera Andromeda fuel cell stack concept. Local government officials attending the event included President of the Lombardy Region Roberto Formigioni, Minister of the Environment Altero Matteoli, and Mayor of Milan Dr. Gabriele Albertini.
