Hybrid vehicles first step toward hydrogen economy

Over the last eight years, as a member of the Interior Subcommittee of Appropriations in the U.S. House of Representatives, I have witnessed firsthand our nation’s half-hearted attempt to reduce our reliance on imported oil. It is time for Americans to end our complacency and take bold steps to reduce our dependency on a region as volatile as the Middle East. We must stop playing politics and taking half measures on our energy policy.
