Hybrid Software Developed

June 7, 2002 [SolarAccess.com] Engineers within Delphi Corp.’s Energenix Group, recently completed a development project with the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory to create co-simulation software to simultaneously model the integration of a vehicle’s propulsion and electrical systems. Hybrid vehicles create higher electrical loads on the engine, causing the electrical system to become more significant in vehicle fuel economy and performance. Co-simulation permits computation of vehicle fuel economy and performance.
