How do Wind Farms Affect Fliers?

Westboro, Massachusetts – June 24, 2004 [SolarAccess.com] Birds and bats like the Hoosac mountain range in western Massachusetts as much as enXco of California does. So before the wind farm company starts building on the mountains in the towns of Florida and Monroe, they want to find out if the turbines will be in the way of the animals’ migration and flight habits. The Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MTC), on behalf of the Office of Commonwealth Development and the Executive Office of Environmental Affairs, is soliciting for contracted researchers to assess the situation. All questions regarding this Request for Proposal (RFP) must be e-mailed to Avian@masstech.org or mailed to MTCs Westborough Office.
