High-Tech, TruePricing Meters to California

The State of California’s newest energy agency, the Consumer Power and Conservation Financing Authority (CPA) has agreed to arrange financing for a progressive advanced metering and conservation program to be offered by TruePricing subsidiary, TrueEnergy, LLC. TrueEnergy’s program, named CalMeter(TM), brings a suite of advanced metering, data and energy conservation software applications to small businesses across the State.

Pasadena, California – August 13, 2002 [SolarAccess.com] “Getting real time meters in place throughout the state is a vital part of the CPA’s energy efficiency effort,” said David S. Freeman, Chairman of the CPA. “This advanced metering program will enable small businesses and consumers to take back control of their energy future.” Advanced meters allow businesses to view, over a secure Web site, their energy consumption in an organized and timely fashion. This data gives companies the tools to alter their usage patterns to save money. “This technology boils down to real energy savings for small businesses,” said Lisa Bicker, Chief Executive Officer of TruePricing, Inc., the parent company of TrueEnergy. “The key is putting cutting edge tools in the hands of business people so that they are empowered to make cost-cutting decisions.” Participation is limited to 10,000-meter replacements and meters will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis.
