H Power, Direct Global Sign Agreement

H Power Corp. has signed a Representation Agreement with Direct Global Power, Inc. (DGP) of Schenectady, NY. DGP will be responsible for developing sales opportunities for H Power’s EPAC(TM)-500 and HCORE(TM)-500 power systems.

Belleville, New Jersey – August 6, 2002 [SolarAccess.com] “We are pleased to be working with DGP” said Paul G. McNeill, Vice President of Business Development, Marketing & Sales at H Power. “DGP’s experience in the distributed generation market is a strong addition to our growing portfolio of partners.” “Photovoltaics and fuel-cells are a perfect technology match–both offer clean power,” said Rick Lewandowski, President of DGP. Our customers are asking for clean, quality solutions. Adding fuel cells to our product offerings is a natural expansion of our marketing activity. As the gap between electricity supply and the demand for environmentally acceptable solutions continues to grow, our company feels that fuel cells offer an immediate, viable solution. After evaluating the fuel cell industry, we are very excited to be teaming with a leading manufacturer.” The EPAC-500 is a self-contained, rack-mountable 500-Watt fuel cell power source, designed for outdoor or indoor use. The unit can be mounted in a standard equipment rack and has an output of 120VAC at 60 Hz. The system can be set to act as a stand-alone power source, or to self-start upon electrical grid failure. In its initial form, the unit is designed to run on compressed hydrogen from standard industrial cylinders. The HCORE-500 is a modular, hydrogen-fueled 500-Watt, 48 V DC power source. It can also be combined with a power-conditioning unit to provide the appropriate voltage output. Modular and stackable, the HCORE-500 is designed to meet higher power and voltage demands like the EPAC-500. (NASDAQ: HPOW)
