Green Energy Expo Follows Efficiency Project

September 16, 2003 {] Energy conservation and efficiency takes center stage in Toronto today as the Dixie Outlet Mall unveils its 100,000 square foot, energy efficient redevelopment project. Eight months in development, this project highlights the significant benefits that can be achieved by implementing rigorous environmental standards into commercial property development. Following the formal proceedings a green expo will be held featuring multiple organizations committed to home, travel and workplace energy efficient innovations including the Blue Sky Solar Racing Team from the University of Toronto, the City of Mississauga, and Ontario Clean Air Alliance. Dixie Outlet Mall will also be launching their unique retailer efficiency program called O.U.T.L.E.T. (Operating Utility Tips and Lighting Efficiency Tactics) to reward retailers for energy conservation excellence.
