Goldman Sachs Adopts Environmental Stance

[] When Goldman Sachs donated an island off the coast of South America to the Wildlife Conservation Society, the investment bank had all 680,000 acres put in trust to the people of Chile. An action first in more ways than one, the financial sector leader then followed up with an environmental policy that supersedes any previous plan from corporate America. A year and a half collaborating with the Rainforest Action Network (RAN), Rainforest Alliance, World Resources Institute and Friends of the Earth, brought forth a policy that places Goldman Sachs at the forefront of “ecosystem services,” a direction that promotes environmental stewardship at a high financial level in our society.
