Galp Confirms Win in Portuguese Gov’t 400 MW Wind Power

The Ventinveste consortium, including Galp Energia SGPS and Mota Engil SGPS affiliate Martifer SGPS, has won the Portuguese government’s 400 MW wind power tender, the company said in a statement, confirming earlier press reports. Galp said the Portuguese government notified the energy group that it was placed first in the tender. Press reports today said that Spain’s Iberdrola SA — which was placed second in the same tender — will be awarded 200 MW of installed capacity.
