Fuel Cell Unit Coupled with Reformer System

February 9, 2004 [SolarAccess.com] Hydrogenics Corporation, a designer and manufacturer of fuel cell technology, announced that a major Japanese corporation has agreed to purchase a 10 kW HyPM fuel cell power module for delivery in Japan in March 2004. The contract also includes a newly developed fuel cell power module diagnostic stand. According to the company’s President and CEO, Pierre Rivard, the contract is significant for two reasons. First, it’s the company’s first sale of a HyPM power module in Japen, and secondly by developing a clean power generation system around a reformer, Hydrogenics hopes to increase the number of potential fuel sources, that may expand their opportunities to work with companies in the lucrative oil and gas industry.
