Florida Company to Install Solar PV in Israel

September 16, 2003 [SolarAccess.com] Universal Communication Systems, of Miami, Florida, a subsidiary of Millennium Electric, has received a contract from the city of Herzliah, Israel, to build and install photovoltaic (PV) solar panels and systems that will provide solar/electric power for traffic lights, lamp posts and other city-wide projects. The PV solar systems for the traffic lights incorporate three of Millennium Electric’s proprietary technologies: a super-bright LED used especially for traffic lights, Storage technology, and special PV cells using “black on black on black” technology that operates and creates electrical power even on cloudy or overcast days.
