Evergreen’s New Solar PV Panel Has Small Carbon Footprint

Evergreen Solar, Inc. just unveiled the new 195W model, part of Evergreen’s Spruce Line of photovoltaic (PV) panels, unveiled at Intersolar 2007, the international solar exhibition currently under way in Freiburg, Germany.

The 195W panel offers an available power tolerance of -0 / +2.5%, guaranteeing 100% of rated power.

“Our 195W model provides installers and integrators with a powerful, versatile panel to meet the continued rapid growth in the number and size of solar power systems worldwide,” said Dr. Terry Bailey, Evergreen Solar senior vice president of marketing and sales.

Bailey noted that the 195W has the smallest carbon footprint and the quickest energy payback time available.

The new panel, which is qualified to meet all major industry certifications and regulatory standards, offers a range of mounting options for swift installation. It is a product of Evergreen’s String Ribbon manufacturing technology.
