Energy Globe Award 2003 Calls for Submissions

August 30, 2002 [] The Energy Globe Award, which honors outstanding initiatives in the fields of energy efficiency and Renewable Energy sources worldwide, is calling for submissions. In the year 2002, more than 1,300 entries from 98 countries competed in 4 categories for the Energy Globe Award, an 18 kg trophy and a prize money of €10,000 (US$9,839) per category. The Energy Globe Award 2003 will be presented in early March next year. The winning projects will also be presented at the WORLD SUSTAINABLE ENERGY DAY 2003 and during the “Energiesparmesse”, one of Europe’s largest sustainable energy exhibitions, which will take place from March 6-9 2003 in Wels Austria. The award is open to companies, private and public institutions and individuals from all over the world. The project or initiative should either involve energy efficiency or Renewable Energy sources or a combination of both. The following categories are planned: housing; companies; transport; municipalities, public institutions.
