Co-located with Renewable Energy World Conference & Expo, Photovoltaics World Conference 2010 (to be held in Austin, Texas, February 23-25) will provide a forum dedicated to photovoltaic solar cells and solar power. A program of two technical tracks will showcase the latest advances in solar cell design and manufacturing, from modules to systems, from incumbent technologies like crystalline silicon to increasingly competitive alternatives like thin-film copper indium gallium diselenide.

Interested? The first step is to develop a well-written, concise synopsis of your proposed presentation topic that addresses all key points of the issue/project/technology, approximately 200-400 words in length. Abstracts are due August 7th and can be submitted online at www.renewableenergyworld-events.com  — click on “Online Abstract Submittal Form” on the conference drop-down menu. Once the abstract has been submitted, an automatic email response will be sent to confirm we have received it.

Areas of interest include (but are not limited to):

  • Silicon photovoltaics
  • Thin-film solar cells
  • Multi-junction cells & concentrators
  • Equipment & materials
  • Inspection, measurement, test & reliability
  • System components and accessories

I also invite you to submit feature articles and news on these and related topics to be published in a future issue of Photovoltaics World, or posted on our website www.pvworld.com. Please send articles ideas and proposals to me directly.

On a final note, we are also putting together an editorial advisory board and program committee for the conference. If you have interest in participating with us at the level, we’d welcome your input. Interested parties should again contact me directly. You can reach me at psinger@pennwell.com or at 603-891-9217.
