Clinton Global Initiative Features Renewable Energy Components

[] Former President Bill Clinton opened the Clinton Global Initiative last week, welcoming participants and seeking solutions to the four issues that plague modern society: poverty, religious strife, climate change, and governance. One of the four is the commitment for a Carbon Neutral Clinton Global Initiative (CGI), designed to mitigate climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions through carbon financing renewable energy projects. The Clinton-Hunter Development Initiative is a collaborative project of the William J. Clinton Foundation and The Hunter Foundation, two entities with a proven commitment to sustainable development. The Initiative will serve as a catalyst for spurring community-level development and encouraging the creation of an enabling environment for pro-development policies at regional and national levels.
