California Renewables Workshop Seeks Public Input

September 8, 2004 [] California Energy Commission’s Integrated Energy Policy Report Committee and Renewables Committee will conduct a workshop on renewable transmission planning to review statewide transmission and distributed generation modeling approaches and results related to renewable resources in California. The California Energy Commission’s Public Interest Energy Research (PIER) program has funded the strategic value analysis project. This workshop will provide an overview of results to date from the project, including an assessment of statewide renewable resources and related transmission modeling an assessment of distributed generation potential, and aggregated renewable distributed generation resources. The workshop, taking place on Tuesday, September 14, 2004, will be presented by the Commission staff and contractors working on PIER projects. Information from the strategic value analysis project will be incorporated into the record for the 2005 Energy Report.
