BP Solar Unveils New Solar Power Module

September 2, 2003 [SolarAccess.com] BP Solar has unveiled the BP 350U, an improved 50-watt photovoltaic (PV) module that addresses the needs of remote industrial applications such as telemetry and instrumentation systems and rural electrification for remote homes that do not have access to utility service. The company said the new BP 350U offers improved efficiency through the use of advanced multicrystalline cells and a 12-volt nominal power output, making it ideal for battery charging applications. The design features BP Solar’s Universal aluminum frame and high capacity U-Version junction box, make the product durable in the field and easy to install, said the company. The warranty on BP 350U covers power output for 25 years and freedom from defects for five years.
