Battery Partnership Could Benefit Hybrid Cars

[RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Automotive technology company ZAP has purchased stock with Zibo Enterprises, a manufacturer of advanced battery technology based in China. Steve Schneider, who is the chief executive officer for ZAP, said the purchase should help the company establish a ZAP Energy Division. The companies will collaborate on batteries for both small and large electronic applications. Schneider said that mobile electronics are pushing the technology envelope for innovations in advanced batteries, and that the technology available in larger formats can power electric cars on a level comparable to today’s internal combustion automobiles.
