Ballard Power Systems has received a US$2 million order from Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. for Mark 902 fuel cell modules and support services, for delivery in 2002.TORONTO, Ontario – May 16, 2002 [SolarAccess.com] The Mark 902 fuel cell module, introduced in October 2001, increases performance by optimizing lower cost, design for volume manufacture, reliability, power density and compatibility with customer system requirements. “This order continues the long-standing relationship between Ballard and Nissan,” said Andreas Truckenbrodt, Vice President of Ballard’s Transportation Division. “Ballard’s Mark 902 fuel cell modules will enable Nissan to advance their fuel cell vehicle development efforts. Ballard is committed to supplying our customers with the best performing, lowest cost, fuel cell solution.” Ballard is commercializing fuel cell engines for transportation applications and fuel cell systems for portable and stationary products ranging from 1 kW to 250 kW.
