Andy Geissbuehler is a global executive with extensive experience in the energy business, related financial markets, EPC project execution and manufacturing.
Andy held executive positions with major multinationals such as ABB, Alstom and GE. With P&L responsibility for Alstom’s wind business in North America over eight years, he led the transition to establish an US offshore wind presence. Heading up GE’s US offshore wind operations, Andy experienced the construction of Deepwater Wind’s Block Island, the nation’s first commercial offshore windfarm.
As Managing Partner with Renewable Resources International, Andy is reaching out to the cost driven European offshore wind industry to capture and advance the growing US market opportunities.
In partnership with Houston based Zentech Inc, he is developing effective marine logistic solutions, offering access to cost competitive, Jones Act compliant jack-up installation vessels for the US offshore wind industry.
Renewable Resources Int’ls latest partnership with BVG Associates, a reputable UK based renewable energy consulting firm, will benefit the US offshore wind market by offering European offshore wind market experience combined with US offshore capabilities.
Andy holds a Master’s in Engineering and Industrial Management (ETH Zurich) and an MBA (William & Mary Mason School of Business, Virginia). His background includes serving as Chairman of the Board for several renewable energy Special Purpose Companies.
