Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Limited has signed a sales contract with Maessa Telecomunicaciones, Ingenieria, Instalaciones y Servicios S.A. (MAETEL), a leading Spanish EPC company.

Under the terms of this contract, Yingli Green Energy has agreed to supply 33 megawatts (MW) of PV modules to MAETEL from the beginning of October 2010 through the end of April 2011.

The PV modules to be supplied by the company under this contract are expected to be installed in a PV solar power plant located in Curbans, France.

According to the plant owner, GDF SUEZ Group, the 33 MW PV solar power plant in Curbans will be France’s largest PV solar power facility and is expected to produce 43.5 million kilowatt hours of renewable energy each year.

“We are pleased to announce this exciting cooperation with MAETEL,” said Liansheng Miao, chairman and CEO of Yingli Green Energy. “This contract provides more positive visibility into the demand momentum in the emerging European solar markets. Moreover, we are glad to see that our customers in existing markets are actively exploring market opportunities beyond their domestic scope, which will help us further diversify our market exposure.”
