Xantrex Explores Becoming Publicly-Traded

February 16, 2004 [SolarAccess.com] There are only a handful of publicly-traded renewable energy companies in the market, and certainly fewer planning to float initial public offerings (IPOs). That’s part of why this next business development is so significant. Xantrex, known well for their solar photovoltaic inverters and other distributed, and renewable energy products, has initiated a preliminary filing with the securities regulatory authorities in each of the provinces of Canada, in connection with an IPO of its common shares. RBC Capital Markets is the lead manager and bookrunner for the offering. CIBC World Markets Inc. and UBS Securities Canada Inc. are the co-lead managers of the underwriting syndicate. The other members of the syndicate are GMP Securities Ltd., National Bank Financial Inc., and Raymond James Ltd. To view the company’s preliminary prospectus check the first link below.
