Clean energy manufacturers announced plans to expand or build at least 13 factories in the U.S. during May, according to analysis from nonpartisan business group E2.

The planned investments, fueled by incentives for clean energy manufacturing in the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act, totaled more than $5 billion and spanned the solar, electric vehicle, energy storage, hydrogen, and wind sectors.

“The (Inflation Reduction Act) is creating an economic climate where America is once again an international envy for manufacturing, innovation, and growth," said E2 Executive Director Bob Keefe.
