Uganda Promotes Solar Energy

July 28, 2003[SolarAccess.com]Solar Energy for Africa, an American non-government organization, has started its “Youth Mission 2003” program by installing solar facilities in Wakiso, Rakai Hoima. The organization comprises of Ugandan and American experts from various fields and has been working on providing solar lightings for individual schools, mission homes and heath centers. The group that began its activities in 1997 has installed 1400 free solar facilities around Uganda and also operates in Rwanda, Tanzania, Congo, Southern Sudan, Gabon and Ethiopia.
