UC San Diego to Host Forum on Green Building Practices

San Diego, California [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] An open forum to discuss the latest research on green building practices in conjunction with the 2006 Sustainable Facilities Summit is scheduled for August 13-15 in La Jolla, California; it is hosted by University of California, San Diego’s (UCSD) Environment and Sustainability Initiative (ESI). Attendees include decision makers from public and private sectors of healthcare, government, education, and retail, commercial and industrial. UC San Diego scientists will present research under way in green building design; climate, energy and water; and wireless environmental sensor networks. The executive conference program addresses issues related to the development and operations of sustainable buildings: analyzing costs, renewable energy solutions, greening existing buildings, sustainable master plans, improving indoor air quality and water efficiency.
