Tour Urges CA Voters to Act on SB 1

[] In support of SB 1, the nation’s biggest solar bill, Environment California is touring California urging voters to call their assembly members to pass the Million Solar Roofs bill. Distinguished by a 15-foot power cord pointing toward the sun and a banner that reads “Plug Into The Sun, Pass SB 1,” the group is starting in Sacramento and ending in Palm Springs. The bill, which has passed five committees and the full Senate, has until September 9th to clear the state Assembly and land on the governor’s desk for his signature. A few benefits of the bill include reducing air pollution by more than one million tons and creating more than 15,000 jobs in California.
