Arizona is home to large solar power plants. The state offers tax incentives (such as Feed In Tariffs) for solar installation in accordance to its expansion program in 2011.

California’s goal is to have additional 20,000 megawatts of solar energy by 2020. Governor Jerry Brown wants to take the state’s clean energy plan to the next level.

Colorado plans to increase its solar energy industry to provide more jobs and revenue for the state. Increasing the state’s renewable energy capacity by 20 percent will add at least 4,000 new jobs and $1.9 billion to the GDP.

Massachusetts installed 29.8 megawatts of solar energy capacity last year.
