Three Solar Power Plants Dedicated in Arizona

Arizona Public Service (APS) has doubled its solar generating capacity with the dedication of three new PV facilities.

PHOENIX, Arizona, US, 2001-04-16 <SolarAccess.com> An electric utility in Arizona has doubled its solar generating capacity with the dedication of three new PV facilities. APS now has almost 1 megawatt of solar photovoltaic modules, which can generate electricity for one thousand homes. The three plants were commissioned as part of the utility’s Solar Partners Program, and are located in Glendale, Gilbert and Prescott at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
